On Tuesday, May 24th, some of our dedicated and hard-working Level 4 Engineering and Computer Science students have been awarded certificates of acknowledgment for completing their workshops with two of UH-GAF’s partners in the field of Engineering and Computer Science: Jeep factory and AOI Academy! The event, which took place on campus, was attended by students, professors and faculty members from the Engineering and Computer Science programme. In addition, the provost – Dr. Alaa Atta – and the Dean of School of Engineering and Computer Science – Professor Eric Dilma – attended the event to personally congratulate and hand out the certificates to the students.
The Jeep Factory training included a 10-day training process at the factory where the students had the opportunity to observe the assembly and servicing process of Jeep cars in Egypt. As for the AOI Academy, our students received rigorous training which resulted in them successfully producing workpieces from raw materials using technical drawings. Since Engineering is the art of applying theory into practice, it is safe to say that UH-GAF is always keen to integrate real-life engineering practice with theoretical practice and simulate industrial life along with theoretical practice.
