Learn the fundamental understanding of chemistry, biochemistry, biology and pharmacology, before building your specialist knowledge in drug design, formulation development and clinical testing
Pharmaceutical scientists play a vital role in the development of new medicines and vaccines, and are a trusted source of advice and treatment.
During your studies, you will explore medicine actions and reactions on living systems and its effects.
To understand how medicines are metabolised, what they do, how they act and where they work requires studying drug actions at levels ranging from the single molecule to the whole organism.
You will learn the science behind the use of medicines, including the physiology and anatomy of the human body, the effect of medicines, and how medicines are designed.
Our programme covers the fundamental understanding of chemistry, biochemistry, biology and pharmacology, before building your specialist knowledge in drug design, formulation development and clinical testing
