Overview

From the world’s tallest buildings to the most spectacular bridges to airports, highways, hospitals and rail networks, civil engineers provide the critical infrastructure that make our world work.
They help build the structure of society, from roads and bridges to dams and airports, which improves the safety and welfare of people in that society.
It is a rewarding profession that combines planning and designing with hands-on project management out in the field.With this programme, you will learn to apply the principles of structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulics and hydrology, environmental engineering, materials, surveying and construction.
You will also discover the latest techniques and developments, such as low- carbon materials and sustainability.As part of hosting the University of Hertfordshire (UH), you will also have access to the university’s StudyNet web-based facility.
StudyNet allows students to access electronic teaching and learning resources from UH, and have electronic discussion’s with staff and other students.

Payment Methods

Students are expected to demonstrate a satisfactory progress toward completion of their major degree; accordingly, they must satisfy the following requirements in the International Foundation Program (IFP) to progress to Level 4.

• Achieve a grade of 50% or more in Engineering Maths 2.
• Achieve a grade of 50% or more in Engineering Science 2.
• Achieve a grade of 40% or more in all other modules.
