EEC English Enhancement Course
English Enhancement Course (EEC) is a condensed English course for one/two semesters in which students meet five days a week on a full schedule for a total of 336 hours (28 teaching hours per week for a total of 12 weeks). The student takes 6 hours every day with the exception of Tuesday (4 hours only). The course caters towards the basics of General English addressing all four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. The course also prepares the student for the IELTS test and other proficiency tests. The course costs 45,000 EGP per semester.
For new students, the criteria to register for EEC is determined by IELTS/TOEFL/PTE scores:
IELTS
Any major that require 5 as overall (Physiotherapy, Mpharm) can apply on the EEC ONLY if he got 4.5 overall. All other majors that requires 4.5 as overall can apply on the EEC with 4.
TOEFL
Any major that require 45 (Physio, Mpharm) the applicant can apply on EEC with grades from 34 to 44. All other majors (which require 34) can get in EEC with 30 to 33.
PTE
Any major that requires 29 (Physiotherapy, Mpharm) can go for the EEC with grades between 23-28. All other majores (which require 23) can go for EEC with grades 17-22.
